Hello
Hi, I'm Lori. I live with my husband in Niagara, Ontario. I am a retired Registered Nurse of 34 years and I love reading, camping (actually, glamping), gardening and music.
My Story
I wish I knew then what I know now. You cannot organize clutter. Let me say that again...you cannot organize clutter. It is a vicious cycle. I was in that cycle for years. I now want to help others get out of that cycle. I want to work with you to make your home function for you and your family.

There are so many studies that show how our environment affects our mood and mental health. Clutter is distracting and can weigh heavy on our hearts.

I wasn't always an organized person. I was overwhelmed and frustrated. Working 12 hour shift work made it difficult for me to keep my home tidy, clean and manageable. I was very organized in my job as a nurse. Why couldn't I do it at home? I was embarrassed to have people in my home. When I walked through my door, I felt a weight on my shoulders. The shoes, coats, papers, dirty dishes and toys were too much to deal with after a long shift at work.

I had done small decluttering sessions around the house over the years but never really noticed an improvement. If I wanted to walk through my door and feel peace and calmness in my home, I had to commit to getting it that way.

I read books, studied and took online courses and started putting practices in place and using different strategies to put my home in order. I had to decide what I wanted my home to be like, the atmosphere I wanted to create, and learn what worked for me. Is my house perfect? No, but it is functioning better everyday. I have learned that decluttering is not a one and done deal. It is an ongoing commitment to maintain and to be intentional in what I bring into my home.

Was this easy? No way!!! It took commitment and a lot of mental and physical energy. I encountered sentimental items that I cherished, gifts from people that I felt guilty letting go of, and multiples of things that I had accumulated over the years.

Bottom line...I had too much inventory which means too much to manage. I could not continue to shuffle clutter around my house and think I was organizing. The most important key is decluttering. This made it easier to find homes for the things I loved. Having a specified home for the things I loved, made it easier to tidy. A tidy house made it easier to clean and a clean house gave me peace and calmness in my heart and home.

I would love to help you achieve the same.
